Voiceover 101

Have you always wanted to try voiceover but didn't know where to start?
Register for Voiceover 101 at the Second City Training Center, Chicago, where you can find info and pricing!

You’ll get behind the mic (or phone or laptop) to read scripts and get coaching and evaluation of your work. Then you’ll take the direction and do it again. You’ll also comment on and learn from the work of your fellow students. This is a work-at-your-pace class meeting weekly deadlines just like you would in the business.

This class is open to anyone interested in Voiceover work or for anyone interested in bettering their communication skills for work or presentations.

Advanced Voiceover

This class is a continuation of Voiceover 101 and takes place through the Second City Training Center, Chicago, and is entirely On Demand. You do not have to have taken VO 101 but must have some experience, a demo, or other VO classes.

Join Kathleen Puls Andrade for an intensive five week preparation to compete in the Voiceover industry and learn the skills needed to make it in this highly competitive field. This class is both recorded and highly interactive. You’ll be encouraged to answer questions thoughtfully, edit and label according to specs, analyze your own work with guidance, think critically while not being critical, learn how to direct yourselves, and prepare yourselves for the rigorous demands of the Voiceover business. You’ll be getting behind the mic (or phone, or laptop) to read scripts then post them in the discussion thread. Kathleen will give you written coaching and you’ll work on finessing the reads with your retakes. This class is work at your own pace, while also meeting strict deadlines like they do in the business. Kathleen will challenge you at every turn to get you as prepared as possible to compete!
